4月16日上午,爱尔兰驻华大使馆副馆长睦百瑞莅临海南大学观澜湖校区,实地参观我校与爱尔兰都柏林理工大学合作举办的会展经济与管理本科教育项目的运行情况,并与校院代表座谈交流。
On the morning of April 16,Mr. Barry Mulligan, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Ireland in China, visited the Mission Hills Campus of Hainan University. He got acquainted with the operation of the undergraduate program in Event Management,a joint educational program between Hainan University (HNU) and Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin), and held discussions with university and college representatives.
睦百瑞重点参观了项目依托的教学楼宇、智慧教室及中爱项目实验室,详细了解校区办学硬件条件、教学环境及项目支撑保障情况。座谈会上国际旅游与公共管理学院副院长张昉代表学院对睦百瑞的来访表示热烈欢迎,并介绍了学院国际化办学特色、发展成效及中爱合作项目运行现状和进一步发展计划。睦百瑞对海南大学的办学条件给予高度评价,充分肯定合作项目取得的积极成果。爱尔兰驻华大使馆将继续积极支持海南大学与爱尔兰高校开展深度合作,期待项目培养更多具有国际视野的高素质人才。
During the visit, Mr. Mulligan toured the teaching buildings, smart classrooms and the HNU-TU Dublin International Collaborative Education Program Laboratory, gaining a detailed understanding of the campus’s educational facilities, teaching environment, and supporting systems for the joint program.
At the meeting, Zhang Fang, Vice Dean of the College of International Tourism and Public Administration, extended a warm and sincere welcome to Mr. Mulligan on behalf of the college. She briefed him on the college’s strengths in international education, its development achievements, as well as the current operation and future development plans of the HNU-TU Dublin International Collaborative Education Program.
Mr. Mulligan spoke highly of Hainan University’s educational conditions and fully affirmed the positive outcomes achieved by the cooperative program. The Embassy of Ireland in China will continue to actively support in-depth cooperation between Hainan University and Irish higher education institutions, and expressed the expectation that the program will cultivate more high-quality talents with an international perspective.
